Is the Open Air Museum a fun place for children?
It certainly is! All over the museum children can lend a helping hand, try things out and have a great time climbing and playing. The Open Air Museum has already been visited twice by Dutch TV show ‘Museumbende’, in which a group of children visit and rate a museum. On the last occasion it was even awarded five stars! Take a look at the agenda to find out about all there is to do this weekend.
Are events organised?
Events and demonstrations are organised at the Open Air Museum throughout the season. The current daily programme will be shown on the map that you will receive when you visit. Alternatively, take a look at the events on the agenda.
Can I visit the museum with a large group?
The Open Air Museum offers the right atmosphere for every occasion. Whether for a meeting, a company outing or a family day trip, more and more groups are discovering that the combination of cultural history, scenic beauty and hospitality forms the perfect basis for business and festive events. Take a look here at what is available for groups.
Is the museum fun when it’s raining?
Most certainly! We have around forty historic buildings which you can also enter to see from the inside. The historic tram will transport you, warm and dry, around the extensive park. So there is plenty to do, even if the weather stays wet for a while.
